Antigenic group: B.

Original source: Isolated by CSIRO at Brisbane, Australia, from pool of adult female Ornithodoros capensis ticks collected from nest of Sooty Tern (Sterna fuscata) on 26 August 1974 at Saumarez Reef, Queensland, Lat. 22°S, Long. 153°30'E. Habitat: Coral sand cay. Storage: Held alive for 28 days at 4°C.

Method of isolation in laboratory: Suspension inoculated ic into infant mice on 23 September 1974.

Validity of isolation: Virus reisolated.
