The fifth of this useful series of volumes has now been published and a sixth is scheduled. The fourth and to some extent the three earlier volumes were reviewed in Volume 22 of this journal (1973, p. 134). The present volume follows the same format and is of the same high quality in every respect. With emphasis on significance of contributions and covering all of the noteworthy new information published in the Japanese language, Volume V includes chapters on schistosome dermatitis by TAKUZO ODA, Echinococcus by JIRO YAMASHITA, Diphyllobothrium by SUEO EGUCHI, Ascaris by KAORU MORISHITA, Trichuris by TETUO MORISITA, and Enterobius by KATSUO AKAGI. The chapters include biological, clinical, and public health information on each subject. A detailed index and descriptive subheadings facilitate quick reference to specific information.
