Epidemiology and Control of Schistosomiasis has been prepared under the auspices of the World Health Organization, with the collaboration of many prominent experts who are the main authors of the 15 chapters included in the book, or who have assisted the main authors by their contributions. The book is intended as a guide for development of control projects and evaluation of results for epidemiologists, irrigation engineers, and public health workers, as well as for laboratory technicians, clinicians and research scientists throughout the broad range of disciplines involved with the theoretical and practical aspects of schistosomiasis control. The book should be a valuable asset in their work.

The chapters included in the book were written late in 1966, but were brought up to date by each author before publication. This reviewer is aware of the great and continuous effort which the editor, Dr. N. Ansari made to make the publication of this book possible.
