Our results confirm the observations of Yoeli and Wall (1952) that Anopheles quadrimaculatus can become infected with oocysts of Plasmodium berghei, Kasapa strain. Two new rodent hosts, the white mouse and Microtus p. pennsylvanicus, can be added to those already known to serve as a source of infective meals for anopheline mosquitoes (Thamnomys surdaster and Mesocricetus auratus).
