Kaisodi Virus, a New Agent Isolated from Haemaphysalis Spinigera in Mysore State, South India

Kaisodi virus, an agent isolated repeatedly and only from Haemaphysalis spinigera, is proposed as a new virus. Some of its physical and biological properties are described.


* The Virus Research Centre is jointly maintained by the Indian Council of Medical Research and The Rockefeller Foundation. The Centre also receives a grant (3x4307) of PL 480 funds from the National Institutes of Health, USPHS, through the Indian Council of Medical Research.
