Two isolations of St. Louis encephalitis virus were made from homing pigeons in central Florida. One of the isolates was obtained from the brain of a dead pigeon and the second from the blood of an apparently healthy one. Twelve of 32 pigeons in the domestic flock from which the isolates were obtained died.
