Textbook of Pathology with Clinical Application

by STANLEY L. ROBBINS, M.D., Professor of Pathology, Boston University School of Medicine; Associate Director of the Mallory Institute of Pathology, Boston, Massachusetts; Lecturer, Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. 2nd edition, x + 1190 pages, illustrated. London, Philadelphia, W. B. Saunders Company. 1962. $19.00

Department of Pathology Tulane University Medical School New Orleans 12, Loiusiana

This generally accepted, standard text on pathology has undergone no striking changes in this second edition. This is fortunate since the first edition is outstanding. There have been additions insofar as recent advances in pathology have been included. A number of the photographs have been replaced by superior ones. In addition, the photographs have been more critically printed in the second edition.

To those unfamiliar with the first edition, it will be found that the text is well organized, the photographs excellent and the references concise and pertinent. Clinico-pathologic correlation is found throughout, adding to the value of the book.

The book can be recommended to students and physicians as a valuable and necessary addition to their libraries.
