Coexistence of Pulmonary Mycosis and Amebic Abscess of the Liver

Report of Six Autopsy Cases

Autopsy and clinical findings on six cases of pulmonary aspergillosis associated with hepatic amebic abscess are reviewed. In no case was aspergillosis suspected on clinical grounds. The possible mechanisms involved in this uncommon association are discussed. A brief review of the literature concerning pulmonary aspergillosis is given.
