Treatment of a Case of Balantidial Dysentery with Terramycin

A case of balantidial dysentery in a Korean responded favorably to terramycin given in divided doses over a 10 day period to total 17 grams. Trophozoites of Balantidium coli disappeared after the second day of treatment.
